I’m so tired of #tentcity complaints!!!

All I’ve been reading for the past 24 hours is that Summit messed up for tent city, that it’s taking a long time to register for tent city, etc. Some even went as far as calling the media saying that Summit didn’t know what they were doing and all that in front of Summit people.
Talk about ungrateful fans!!!
In case you didn’t know, Summit doesn’t have to do big premieres like they do. They don’t have to offer free stuff to campers. They don’t have to put up gigantic tents to protect the campers. They don’t have to show the movies or plan a concert but they do.
Why?
Because they know that Twilight fans are passionate and want to LIVE the experience of camping out. Simple as that. Sure, it took a long time to register but so what? It’s probably costing them a lot of money for insurance, for renting out the LA LIVE! perimeter, for security and for everything they’ll give away during those 4 days.
Now, I hear some people already telling me that they know they’ll get that money back opening weekend and to that I answer ‘SO WHAT?’ They’re doing it FOR THE FANS!!!! Everybody at Summit has already seen the movie, they don’t care! But what they do care about is making sure that everyone is SAFE!
People in tent city that are complaining, think of this:
A lot of people would like to be where you are right now (myself included) and the fact that you are complaining since yesterday morning, you don’t deserve to be there. If you’re a real fan, you should just appreciate the energy that is tent city, not try to make it bad for others.
I think that some people were offended that they didn’t get special treatment. It’s not because you have a blog or that you stalk the cast that you will get special treatment. I’m a blogger myself and didn’t get any special treatment. It doesn’t work that way. In tent city, we’re all fans sharing a passion. We are not treated differently because we’re part of a fansite or because you’re a fanfic writer or a blog or because you have 5000 followers on Twitter. It doesn’t work that way. I’ve met a lot of passionate fans that are not bloggers or writers or that are private on Twitter. It doesn’t mean they don’t have a right to be first in line or be in the fan section.
I, for one, am thankful that Summit organizes events like these. I’ve been to quite a few and always enjoyed myself. It’s an EXPERIENCE! You don’t like the way it’s going, leave! Don’t spread hate!
Summit has worked very hard to organize tent city. They want you to enjoy yourself and have a good experience. They want you to LIVE the phenomena that is Twilight. They want you to experience it with other fans. They don’t deserve your bitchiness.
In other words, the ones that are complaining, shut the hell up and enjoy the experience! A lot of people would like to be in your shoes for the next few days…
Until next time,
Love, Izzie xoxo
